Salam Alikoum fellow tourists from all over the world. Follow us in our little corner of paradise to understand who we are. Welcome to Morocco, to the authentic family kasbah of my companion Saïd, hidden in the heart of the magnificent Nasrate oasis at the entrance of the village of Tagounite. This rural town, populated mainly by Berber nomads who have settled here for generations, is mon the last supply points before entering the desert of M'Hamid El Ghizlane in the very south of the kingdom.
It is in these seemingly distant lands and yet only a few hours from Europe that I decided to open a new chapter of my life to follow my personal legend... My name is Valérie and I am sensitive to the benefits of nature. With a diploma in aromatic and medicinal plants, I dream of settling somewhere to develop a project in this sector. I then fell in love with this mysterious place and its inhabitants in 2019, during a road trip organized in the desert.
In addition to the landscapes of extreme beauty, oscillating between the shimmering green of the oases and the warm ocher of the sand dunes, I found there the generosity of an enigmatic people who lead a simple life, based on customs and traditions. essentially punctuated by an ancestral philosophy in close harmony with the four fundamental elements of life: earth, water, air and fire. And that's all I wanted… a return to basics.
Saïd, meanwhile, was born into a Berber family that had been established for generations in Tagounite. For more than ten years he welcomes tourists to the desert he knows like the back of his hand! Ambitious and full of energy, our paths crossed. An improbable meeting for our greatest happiness...
It is therefore quite naturally that we wanted to share our skills to open together a small tourist transport agency with guided tours in the desert. Our company "Légendes Berbères" was then born in January 2020. A major challenge, especially since it was born in the midst of the Covid 19 health crisis!! But no regrets or remorse! On the contrary, what a joy to live this adventure which gives us wings and a meaning to our existence!

My name is Saïd and I am a Berber who grew up in the desert as a “free man,” also called Amazigh . I am proud to belong to this people of nomads, now sedentary, who were the first to occupy North Africa at the time of the Arab invasions.
I became a tourist guide and I have been practicing this profession for more than ten years, which still fascinates me as much because thanks to you, travelers from all over the world, it is rich in exchanges and conveys the values of respect and sharing that hold me dear. to heart.
It is with pleasure that I will introduce you to my ancestral customs and traditions, and this extraordinary natural heritage that I want to preserve by raising public awareness of simple actions to protect our environment and the planet.

OUR PROJECTS....
Aware of the ecological challenges of our beautiful planet, all our projects will be shot in an eco-participatory approach to the protection of man and his natural environment.
SOLAR ENERGY
Here, it is obvious to want to enjoy the sun which shines more than 360 days a year. We therefore want to supply our kasbah with green electricity and wish to install solar panels very soon for the entire domestic part in order to operate in self-sufficiency. This installation would also allow us to supply a large immersion pump to irrigate the date palm farm with a drip system. We have quotes and are now looking to finance the project.
THE IMPORTANCE OF WATER
Water is precious in this region, and our kasbah is only supplied every other day by a municipal reservoir. We must therefore adopt a reasoned consumption and store it in a tank to enjoy it all the time at home. As for the crops, they are supposed to be fed by water from the Ouarzazate dam when it wants to open its floodgates!! Which unfortunately only happens a few times a year and it is far too little to irrigate all the agricultural land... This is why we must act intelligently so as not to let all this extraordinary heritage die. The only way to achieve this is to dig a well and adopt a reasoned consumption so as not to waste water unnecessarily.
It will be necessary to dig a well deep enough to find water on a water table, but it is possible and achievable! We intend to open a participatory project to complete this project. Especially since we intend to install a natural swimming pool on part of the land. This will give added value to the property and will delight tourists looking for fresh air in the hot season!
PHYTO-PURIFICATION
Finally, water is a natural resource that absolutely must be preserved and there are now systems to achieve this. We would therefore like to install a phyto-purification system for wastewater to reuse it on agricultural land and thus reduce our consumption of drinking water. Estimates are in progress on this subject.
In short, work in perspective but we are not giving up because we have chosen to lead our lives in this way, in the middle of nature, and the saving of resources is very important to preserve our environment which is precious to us.
