The road to Tizi n'Tichka is considered one of the most beautiful in Morocco along with that of the 1000 kasbahs that we will take at the end of the day. Once the pass is reached, you will be rewarded with a superb panoramic view of the High Atlas . We will arrive around 1 p.m. for lunch at the foot of the imposing Ksar Aït Ben Haddou , classified by Unesco and renowned for having been the inspiration for many Hollywood films. Arrival in Ouarzazate in the afternoon and visit of your choice, either of the Atlas Studio or of the magnificent kasbah Taourirt, symbol of Ouarzazate, home to a 19th century palace century, witness to the glorious Glaoui era, and offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding rocky landscape. We will then take the road of the 1000 kasbahs on the south-eastern slope of the High Atlas, towards the valley roses to Kalaât M'Gouna, where the traditional festival takes place every year in May in honor of the Damask rose, available in all its guises (floral water, soaps, essential oil...). It dominates, like a sentinel, the entire Dadès valley, and its terraces clinging to the side of the rock will offer you an unobstructed view. You will put your bags for two days here. Dinner on site the first evening. DAY 2 : BETWEEN SOFTNESS AND RUDDEN DECORATIONS After breakfast on the terrace, we will enjoy the mildness of this region, in beautiful bucolic landscapes. From crops of roses to stretches of almond trees, this poetic setting in the middle of the Dadès Valley invites you to daydream. The dwellings merge with the rock and the Dadès wadi peacefully irrigates the varied crops in the valley. Then we will survey the vertiginous gorges of Dadès , with breathtaking panoramas. One last curiosity of the region not to be missed, the Todghra Gorge , one of the most striking natural sites in the country. We will take a break at the foot of the canyon, with a magnificent view of its massive walls, very popular with climbers. Lunch in a small grilled meat restaurant in Tinghir. Finally, we will return in the middle of the afternoon to Kelaât to stroll through the busy shops of multiple excellent quality cosmetics. Then return to the hotel for a well-deserved rest around a delicious glass of tea, in front of a superb sunset over the valley. Dinner on site. DAY 3 : IN A WESTERN ATMOSPHERE Today, heading south by the Tizi N'Tikit pass, in a striking mineral setting of volcanic rocks of rare beauty on the jbel Saghro culminating at 2,712m above sea level. These mountains are populated by Aït Atta Berber tribes, who had to adapt to the harsh climate of this region, after having been driven from the fertile plains of the Draa Valley in the past. They are essentially shepherds who grow cereals for daily bread and to feed the livestock before the severe winter cold. Arrival in Zagora at the end of the afternoon and installation in a comfortable typical southern riad with swimming pool, located in the lovely palm grove on the outskirts of the town. Diner and night at the place. DAY 4 : ENJOY THE DESERT AND ITS SOOTHING ENERGY Come on, don't be impatient... desert is not very far away! Departure at 10 a.m. to find him. Along the way, we will stop at Tamegroute , a small village renowned for its traditional pottery with incredible shades of green inspired by the verdant colors of the Draa Valley. And then the fine sand insidiously invites itself into the landscape, a few more kilometers of blackish rocks and we will take the first tracks to sink us in the desert of M'Hamid. They were once used by camel caravans to transit goods from black Africa to the north of continent. Right here, it's another atmosphere, a feeling indescribable abandonment and you will not remain indifferent... Installation in a Berber camp on Erg Lihoudi and lunch at the foot of the dunes. Free afternoon to take full advantage of this magical universe, run on the dunes, laugh out loud like children, come back exhausted, but so happy to savor these simple pleasures of pure happiness. Dinner and musical evening to the rhythm of the djembes around a nice campfire under the stars. DAYS 5 AND 6 : OF THEM CAMEL DAYS There's nothing like a trek in the desert to delicately enter the belly of the great Sahara and discover all its treasures. Let's go, the packages are loaded on the camels and all you have to do is follow your guide. You will hike at your own pace over 2 days and bivouac in the middle of nature. You will discover how bread is made and how it is cooked in the middle of the desert. In short, the watchwords: simplicity and conviviality! And these moments of sharing with your guide are an excellent way to understand and realize a little better what is the true life of the nomads. The 2nd day, return to the departure camp and quiet evening to recover well. NB: lunches and water are of course included in the excursion! DAY 7 : POETRY ON THE DUNES OF CHEGAGA Leaving for another place and other emotions... This time, climb into the 4x4 and on track for a new adventure in the Chegaga desert. Along the way, picnic to the freshness of the sacred Oum-Laâlag oasis. We will resume the course for two good hours before arriving at destination. Installation under your Berber tent. Now it's up to you, go touch the stars on the highest dunes of the kingdom and marvel at the warm colors offered by the sun when it rubs against the horizon. It is a breathtaking spectacle! The candles now illuminate the camp plunged into the night that settles and their twinkling lights give the change with those of the celestial vault. All that remains is to share a delicious tajine with the nomads and listen to them hum their Amazigh songs. No, you are not dreaming, here you will live a magical evening worthy wonderful tales of Scheherazade. DAY 8 : IN THE FRESHNESS OF THE DRÂA OASIS Departure in the morning to join civilization, with a return to Tagounite by the palm grove of Ktaoua. All the palm groves on the edge of the desert are populated by Berber ethnic groups of various origins, the legacy of a mixing of populations at the time of the caravans of goods which transited between the Sahara and the north of Morocco, on the famous road to Timbuktu . The Berbers live in close communion with nature, their daily life being punctuated by the work of the land, the maintenance of the irrigation canals on the oases and the picking of dates. It's a simple life ( hey yes, the word simple again!! ) and peaceful, punctuated by traditional festivals that are very important in their culture. Lunch in our kasbah in the middle of the family farm in the palm grove of Nasrate. You will then have the opportunity to taste our dates, undoubtedly one of the best varieties in Morocco. Resumption of the route along the verdant oases of the Draa Valley which stretches majestically to Agdz. These palm groves are real national treasures, classified as a UNESCO biosphere reserve. We will go and have tea in an authentic kasbah run by a caïd (former tribal chief), concealed in one of the most beautiful palm groves in the Draa Valley, in Tamnougalt, near Agdz. It is a true architectural gem edified in beaten earth, testimony to a glorious historical past which is the pride of the country. Arrival in Ouarzazate around 6 p.m. and installation in your ecolodge (ecological campsite). You will enjoy the calm of the garden and the freshness of the swimming pool in the right season. The owners will be very attentive and will concoct a delicious meal for you before spending a peaceful night in your pretty "hard" Berber tent. DAY 9 : FROM GREATER OUARZAZATE TO MARRAKECH Back to Marrakech by the Atlas where you can once again appreciate the vertiginous landscapes of these high mountains. The opportunity to take a few last photo shots that you might have missed on the outward journey. Excursion quad et dromadaires.jpg Excursion à dromadaire.jpg Excursion à dromadaire désert.jpg Excursion quad et dromadaires.jpg RELAXATION IN THE HEART OF THE DUNES Excursions in the desert by the day or by the hour In 4x4, quad or camel Ideally combined with a desert bivouac formula Departure at any time on request MEETING THE LAST ETHNIC GROUPS NOMADS DESCRIPTION You want to spend one or more nights in the desert and you want to organize your free time as you wish. No problem, our à la carte excursions will brighten up your days and allow you to meet the nomads. They are easily combined with each other and there is something for everyone, from a simple 1-hour 4x4 ride or by quad, hiking dromedary on the day which can even end with a wild bivouac, anything goes! On camels , the walks are conducive to introspection and the rebalancing of the chakras to regain strength and vitality. They can be combined with a wild bivouac, a unique experience for those who dream of sleeping at least one night alone in the middle of the desert. Quad biking is a great activity for having fun in the dunes and rediscovering your inner child! In 4x4 , it's the best for a comfortable day trip and to be able to go deeper into the depths of the Sahara. Our favourite, visit the dry lake of Iriki, formerly privileged place of the gazelles of the south. It is a reserve that stands between the Drâa River and the southern foothills of the Anti-Atlas, near the Algerian border and conducive to wintering grounds for many migratory birds. Nomads have always fascinated the Western world with their power of resilience and their wisdom in the face of adversity. An incredible spirit of mutual aid, humility and communion drives them, from which they draw their strength to adapt to the climate that is often hostile to man. Their daily life is essentially limited to finding places to feed their animals (goats, sheep and dromedaries) and the constant search for this precious treasure... water of course! WHERE TO FIND US ? If you are not already settled in a camp in the desert, go to the Ziz petrol station located at the entrance to the village of Tagounite , one of the last supply points before entering the desert. It is a Berber town in the province of Zagora located 3h30 from Ouarzazate, at the gates of the desert of M'Hamid El Ghizlane in the Drâa-Tafilalet region in southern Morocco. • Dormir chez l'habitant | Kasbah traditionnelle | Tagounite | Légendes berbères

SLEEP IN AN AUTHENTIC KASBAH B&B: 10 €/person Free children 0-4 years old Camping area under the palm trees: 5 €/person Free children 0-4 years old To book a room Ambiance nocturne à la kasbah.jpg Bienvenue chez Légendes Berbères.jpg Moulage briques de terre.jpg Ambiance nocturne à la kasbah.jpg welcome to our house for share your evening in an authentic traditional kasbah in the heart of the Nasrate palm grove, just 10 minutes from the village of Tagounite. THE ENVIRONMENT Here, it's not just a place to sleep, it's also our little nugget of life! Yes, you are entering the family of Saïd, your guide. They are Berber peasants who have been settled here for generations on a date palm farm. The buildings are being restored little by little, all by hand of course, and in the purest respect of the methods of construction in raw earth according to ancestral methods. With us, you will feel at home, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. In this haven of peace, lulled by the chirping of birds, we grow all our vegetables without chemicals, while saving water which is a real treasure in these distant lands. And you will find their flavor in our generous local cuisine in which you can participate in a cooking workshop if you feel like it! But don't worry, we also serve meals on request, for a few dirhams. > find out more about the cooking workshop THE ROOMS For the moment, two attractive rooms are at your disposal with a capacity of 3 people maximum per room. We have put all our heart into the decoration and have taken care to select quality bedding so that you can rest comfortably. The sheets are woven with organic flannel, one of the best natural fibers on the market, which has the ability to effectively regulate heat or cold according to the seasons. It is also a deliberate choice to respect the planet. A DEDICATED AREA FOR WELCOMING CAMPERS AND MOTORHOMES If you pass by chance in Tagounite and you don't know where to sleep when you have your tent or you are traveling in a motorhome, welcome to our place, a dedicated space is provided on the family date palm farm. You will be able to benefit from the sanitary facilities at your disposal in the kasbah. Just contact us on +212 608 73 22 07 and Saïd will guide you to get to the camp. BATHROOMS The toilets are not adjacent to the rooms but remain in the immediate vicinity, and we constantly ensure their cleanliness as well as the rest of the premises. Here, it's first of all at home, and we can assure you to respect a healthy lifestyle because it's important to feel good at home. A washing machine is available on request. THE IMPORTANCE OF WATER As for water, it is precious, our kasbah is only supplied every other day, so we have to store the water in a cistern to enjoy it every day. So we are counting on your diligence not to waste it unnecessarily, and then it is also a gesture to preserve the planet. OUR PROJECTS In this eco-participatory approach, we plan to supply the kasbah with green electricity and to install very soon solar panels which could completely supply the domestic part of the house and even an immersion pump to irrigate the farm. more easily when the well is dug. In short, work in perspective but we are not giving up because we have chosen to lead our lives in this way, in the economy of natural resources and a living environment where simplicity and authenticity are all their importance, and that is all we aspire to be happy. > find out more See our homestay activities See our camel treks
