J3 : Dans un décors de western Trajet total : 300 kms / 5h00 de route Mont Saghro - oasis du Drâa - Zagora - désert de M'Hamid El Guizlane sur l'erg Lihoudi Un départ à 9:00 pour l'ascension du Jbel Saghro par le col de Tizi N'Tikit culminant à 2 712 m d'altitude dans un décor minéral saisissant de roches volcaniques d'une rare beauté, offrant une vue dégagée sur les vallées du Dadès et du Drâa. C'est la région des paysans berbères issus de la tribu Aït Atta qui sont venus trouver refuge dans ces montagnes après avoir été chassés de la vallée du Drâa à l'époque des invasions arabes. Leur présence donne une âme singulière à ce paysage au climat bien rude en hiver. ​En fin de matinée, nous rejoindrons la vallée du Drâa qui abrite les plus vastes oasis du royaume. Lunch break at the imposing ksar in Aït-Ben Haddou , beautifully preserved fortified village and classified as World Heritage by Unesco . Site visit before or after lunch. Arrival at Ouarzazate in the middle of the afternoon. It is the largest oasis city at the gates of the desert, in the Souss-Massa-Drâa region, the scene of inspiration for many Hollywood films for the quality of its light and its sunshine as well as for its magnificent colored adobe kasbahs ocher. It has seen its economic growth increase considerably in recent years with the largest solar energy complex in the world, called Noor. Visit of the Atlas Studio: discover behind the scenes of the cinema in this maze of scenes which have been specially adapted for many Hollywood films shot in Ouarzazate, and have fun finding cult replicas of well-known films (Mission Cléopâtre, the Mummy, Gladiator...). Cool picnic in one of the most striking natural sites in the country, the Todgha Gorge, near Tinghir where water flows all year round. You will take the full measure of the incredible massive walls of the canyon, with its gaping opening on the source "with sacred fish." Along the way, you will stop at Tamegroute , a village renowned for its Koranic library and its pottery in incredible shades of green made with ancestral techniques that have not changed. And then here we are... landscapes of extreme beauty bathed in a strange light, that's the charm of the desert... Free rest until lunch. Then we will resume the path of civilization with an escapade through the remote villages at the gates of the desert, in the large palm grove of Ktawa. It is populated by Berber ethnic groups of various origins, due to a mixing of populations at the time of the caravans of goods which transited between the Sahara and the north of Morocco. Their way of life, however, is the same and has remained unchanged for generations. They live in close communion with nature, their daily life being punctuated by the work of the land, the maintenance of the irrigation canals of the oases and the picking of dates. It is a simple and peaceful life, punctuated by traditional festivals which are very important in their culture. Our path will continue along the oasis of the Draa Valley which stretches majestically between Agdz and M'Hamid , along the river which bears the same name. True national treasures classified as a UNESCO biosphere reserve , these palm groves are home to a rich biodiversity, contribute to the fight against desertification and provide a wide variety of agricultural products. Real source of life for the inhabitants of the region, they are at the origin of a social, economic and cultural organization which constitutes a unique ancestral heritage. We will start the day by crossing Agdz overlooked by le Mont Kissane, the emblematic mountain of this pretty town. Then visit Tazenakht, the capital of Berber carpets which are still woven by hand using traditional methods. Their bright and vibrant colors are obtained thanks to the quality of wool and natural dyes. Lunch in Taliouine , the capital of saffron. This precious spice, called red gold, comes from the stigmas of crocus flowers and is renowned for its quality throughout the world. This will be an opportunity to taste a delicious tagine flavored with saffron. In autumn, you can admire the fields of crocuses which are adorned with their most beautiful purple dress before the harvest. Then we will gain height on the steep roads of the High Atlas to finish our ascent to the Tizi N'Test pass at 2,100 m. Here, there is only one refuge with no electricity, powered by solar panels, and stunning views when the sky is clear. The innkeeper will concoct a good Berber omelet in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. You will spend a cool and peaceful night, unless you are disturbed by a strange protected animal, the mouflon, passing through the oak woods around the refuge. Il s'étend au centre des montagnes du Haut-Atlas et offre les massifs montagneux les plus originaux de tout le Maroc, marqués par leur puissant relief et la diversité de leurs roches. Trois vallées (Tahannaout, Asni, Ourika) sillonnent le parc et sont un havre de verdure et de fraîcheur qui invite au calme et à la sérénité. Peuplées de montagnards qui ont gardé un mode de vie authentique, ils vous parleront de leur technique d'élevage, leur tradition agricole ou leur art culinaire autour d'un bon pain cuit au four à bois et servi avec du miel issu des ruches du jardin. Visite de l'impressionnante mosquée de Tinmel , chef-d’œuvre architectural de la dynastie almohade. Puis déjeuner dans la vallée à Imlil. Profitez-en pour goûter la viande de chèvre achetée dans une boucherie ouverte sur la rue et grillée sur place. Poursuite dans la réserve du parc national du Mt Toubkal, point culminant du Haut-Atlas avec ses 4 167 mètres. Cette montagne a donné son nom à un parc national de 38 000 ha en 1942 d'une exceptionnelle diversité, marqué par les peuplements de chêne vert et de thuya, en passant par des plantes herbacées et d'autres écosystèmes à chêne vert. Plateaux et falaises alternent avec des gorges où s'écoulent des rivières aux eaux cristallines, qui vont assurer l'irrigation dans les vallées et les plaines du piémont. Vous apercevrez en chemin le plateau du Kik , véritable grenier à céréales surplombant Asni et les petits villages berbères encastrés dans ce paysage unique de toute beauté que nous traverserons avant d'arriver à Marrakech en fin d'après-midi. It is advisable, particularly during this period, to adopt decent clothing. ​ MANNERS Homosexuality is considered a crime in Morocco (punishable by three years in prison) and heterosexual relations outside marriage are prohibited (one year in prison). ​ BERBER CULTURE The Berbers would be present in the Maghreb for more than 5000 years. Mysterious people, many historians have tried to define their origins without ever succeeding. Persian, Median, Canaanite, Indian origins. The Berbers are found everywhere… and nowhere. ​ The word Berber comes from the Greek Barbaros which designated at the time all “non-Greek” people, therefore foreigners. Une alimentation saine et équilibrée pour changer du traditionnel tajine, qui ravira les papilles de tous les voyageurs ! ​ Les sanitaires Les sanitaires ne sont pas attenants aux chambres Itran (étoile en berbère) et Ayour (lune) mais à proximité immédiate. Nous avons fait le choix délibéré d'organiser notre maison organique avec un seul point d'eau pour protéger les murs en terre et respecter la construction traditionnelle en pisé sur l'ensemble de l'habitation. En revanche, nous venons d'ouvrir une 3ème chambre, la suite Taffouït (soleil), qui dispose de ses toilettes et douche privées pour offrir un peu plus de confort aux familles avec enfants par exemple. Mais bien qu'une partie des sanitaires soient partagés, nous pouvons vous assurer de veiller sans cesse à leur propreté et au reste des locaux bien sûr, et nous n'utilisons que des recettes "de grand-mère" composées d'un soigneux mélange de produits naturels comme le bicarbonate de soude, le vinaigre blanc et d'huiles essentielles de lavandin sélectionnées directement sur les plateaux de Valensole dans les Alpes de Haute Provence en France. Ici, c'est d'abord chez nous et une bonne hygiène de vie est indispensable pour se sentir bien à la maison tout en respectant l'environnement si exceptionnel qui nous entoure ! WELCOME If you arrive by your own means, meet at the end of the afternoon at the Ziz de Tagounite petrol station at the entrance to the village and easily spotted. Depending on the route chosen, you will sleep in a tent either in a fixed bivouac on Erg Lihoudi if you opt for a trek in the middle of the desert, or on the ground of our kasbah in the heart of the palm trees if you choose a trek between oasis and desert. Toilets will be at your disposal and we will concoct a good tajine that we will share together before enjoying the exceptional calm of the place to rest well. En effet, vous aurez certainement fait beaucoup de route pour nous rejoindre et il est plus prudent de prévoir une bonne nuit de sommeil avant d'entreprendre votre trek. Lieu 1ère nuit s elon le choix du circuit : ​ Si vous optez pour un tre k plein désert, vous dormirez dans un bivouac fixe sur l'erg Lihoudi du désert de M'Hamid, Si vous choisissez un itinéraire entre oasis et désert, vous passerez la nuit sous une tente sur le terrain de notre kasbah au cœur de la palmeraie Nasrate à Tagounite. Vous avez aussi la possibilité de louer une chambre d'hôtes sur demande pour plus de confort, peu importe le choix du circuit de trekking, si vous avez choisi de faire un trek uniquement dans le désert, nous vous conduirons en 4x4 sur le lieu de départ (erg Lihoudi) le lendemain matin (option à régler sur place - 10 €/personne, maximum 6 couchages). Des sanitaires seront à votre disposition et nous vous concocterons un bon tajine que nous partagerons ensemble avant de profiter du calme exceptionnel de l'endroit pour bien vous reposer. Vous passerez les nuits suivantes sous bivouacs sauvages à monter chaque soir avant le coucher du soleil. Nuit du dernier jour non comprise pour vous laisser le choix de reprendre la route vers d'autres destinations. Notez tout de même que le trek se termine habituellement aux alentours de 18:00 le dernier jour et cela peut faire une grosse journée si vous devez reprendre le volant après. Par prudence, vous pouvez dormir sur place soit au bivouac sur l'erg Lihoudi soit à la kasbah Mashallah dans l'oasis (option à indiquer sur le formulaire de réservation - 25€/personne dîner, nuit et petit-déjeuner compris). Et si vous n'avez pas coché l'option au moment de réserver, vous pourrez encore changer d'avis et nous avertir jusqu'à 24 heures avant la fin du trek. Comment nous rejoindre sur place : Rendez-vous à Tagounite , l'un des derniers points de ravitaillement avant d'entrer dans le désert de M'Hamid El Ghizlane. C'est un petit village berbère de la province de Zagora, situé à 3h30 de Ouarzazate dans la région du Drâa-Tafilalet au sud du Maroc. S i vous arrivez par vos propres moyens, rendez-vous en fin d'après-midi à la station service Ziz à l'entrée du village de Tagounite et facilement repérable. Votre véhicule pourra stationner sur le parking sans aucun problème, et si vous préférez, vous pourrez aussi vous garer sur le terrain de notre agence, il sera bien surveillé ! Si vous optez pour un trajet en taxi ou bus, nous vous rejoindrons au lieu de dépose, il faudra juste nous le préciser au moment de réserver > voir pour réserver un bus CTM . Nous vous conduirons ensuite sur le terrain de notre kasbah, dans la palmeraie de Nasrate, située à 15 minutes du village. ​ Recommandations : On aura besoin d'une caravane de dromadaires pour transporter le matériel du campement, les couvertures, l'eau (eau minérale fournie) et la nourriture. Nous vous recommandons de vous munir d'un sac de randonnée adapté pour vos effets personnels, ni trop gros ni trop petit, en sélectionnant l'essentiel avec précaution pour ne pas vous charger inutilement ! ​Et bien sûr munissez-vous d'un sac de couc hage en hiver (indice thermique - 10° suffisant) et un tapis de sol isotherme, c'est mieux ! Prévoir aussi une trousse de secours pour parer aux éventuels bobos, et prévoyez une petite visite chez le dentiste ... rien n’est plus désagréable qu’une rage de dents ou un abcès sans possibilité de secours ! Petit conseil, vous allez profiter de ce site naturel encore vierge et préservé alors respectez-le et faites en sorte qu'il le reste ! Prévoyez un sac pour vos déchets, merci ! Pensez à apporter une batterie solaire pour recharger votre téléphone si vous voulez prendre des photos.
